You can turn a concept (a bubble in the map) into a list by dragging another concept over it.
Hierarchical lists or outlines
The lists can be hierarchical - if you move the dragged concept slightly to the right under another one in the list, it becomes indented, as a subtopic or subheading. The hierarchy can be as deep as you need.
The same thing can be achieved by selecting a concept in the map and clicking the Add subtopic button - the new concept will be added as a new item in the list, indented under the selected one.
Custom lists
You can create custom lists as needed. I.e., you don't have to choose only from the suggested topics. Simply click the big plus button, type any name or heading you want and click on Add. Then start dragging subtopics over the newly created concept.

Quick tip: this is a great way to create outlines. Or, if you like kanban boards, you can create one using this. Or you can use this for grouping keywords.
